Binovy is a home for collections of vintage computers, consoles, hi-fi, CRTs, cameras and games. If you keep machines like these, you already know the feeling that started this place. Every one of them arrived in your life somehow. Someone chose it, used it for years, perhaps repaired it at a kitchen table, and eventually it found its way to your shelf. That chain of care is worth keeping, and keeping it well is the whole idea here.
At the center of Binovy is the record. Every piece has a page of its own where its story accumulates over time: when it was made, what has been done to it, and who has looked after it along the way. Repairs can be attested by technicians in our network, so the work becomes part of the piece's documented life. When a piece changes hands, its record travels with it, and the next keeper simply continues writing where the last one left off.
There is also a floor for buying and selling. When a collector decides a piece should move on, the auction gives it a proper send-off, with thorough photographs, an honest account of condition, published grading tolerances, and protection for whoever wins it. Sales here are public and stay public, because a piece's story and its price belong together, and future keepers deserve to see both.
Nothing about this is hurried, and the site is built to match. The machines in this hobby have waited decades to be understood, so a catalog entry can comfortably take an evening. There is room to photograph every angle, to write down the serial number, to note the recap job, the seller in Osaka, and the sticker that never quite came off.
Right now Binovy is in alpha. Access is by invitation, and while we test, transactions run in simulation mode, so the auctions behave exactly as they will at launch with test money standing in for the real thing.
